I am going to bombard you this morning with lots of goodness. I was SICK all weekend. Apparently I partyed way to hard at Mardi Gras last week and when I came home on thursday I wasn't feeling quite like myself. Then I started to get congested. and full on cold. Our little Sunday School class is mostly made up of boys. More motivating, I suspected, would be the image of Folly as the grisly guardian of death, whose guests descend to the depths of the grave. The children drew their favourite foods in the wisdom box, and revolting foods in the skeleton box. At the beginning of the day, the speaker obviously wanted to know the professional make-up of her audience, so she called out various professions and had us raise our hands in response. And when she asked about doctors, only one person raised his hand. A murmur rippled through the crowd, and there was much ironic laughter. So, where were the doctors? The presenter for this conference is a well-respected speaker and researcher with a long history at UCLA and UCSF, and her credentials are very impressive. These arrived this weekend.
The pigs, goats, ponies, horses, donkey and birds ALL love these! Then today Sharron brought more fruit, AND our friends Nick and Kim stopped by with a load of apples from their trees. We now spend a sizeable chunk of our weekly grocery money on fruit and veg for the animals, so these were such a great donation! Juliet the Runner-duck cross was pleased! So was Jackie the Pekin duck. Here's Genny waiting for HER apple. So these are the rest of my presents that I got for my Birthday on Tuesday this week. I got this from all the girls at Craftwork Cards, I love it! I got this rose plant from David and Dawn Together with this lovely heart decoration. It's time again for me to pull out my Camper Crazy stamp and make a few cards. I used this same pattern with the same camper back in February with the Lollydoodle paper.
You can see the card here. That one turned out so well that I copied the idea with this card. These were taken earlier, I'm just now getting around to posting them. Sometimes finding calves in the pasture is like hunting for Easter eggs. .
