Getting all those PhD's finished at the retreat gave me the motivation to move some "quilted and waiting on bindings" to the finished pile. I worked on the hand stitching of this one at the retreat. It's now done and checked off my UFO list. This one is the twin to one that I assembled at the retreat. I applied and hand stitched the binding this week. It just needs a label before it is gifted. Great salad dish - Salatit El Rahib. Mix with tomato. Mix lemon juice, garlic, oil, parsley and salt and gently stir into eggplant mixture.
The day finally dawned yesterday when our fashion show was to happen at the Cath Kidston store in Liverpool.The main aim of the evening was to promote knitting and to hopefully get some non-knitters to pick up needles and have a go. The Cath Kidston staff laid on tea, cakes and jam sandwiches which went down a treat.
